    The department of geography was started in June 1971 to impart quality education in geography to the students. The department has qualified staff and full-fledged laboratory which keep the students abreast of geographical knowledge. The department actively participates in events which help all round development of the students. The department organizes study tour, field visits, socio-economic survey of rural areas, conducts NET/SET classes, quiz competition, poster presentation, etc. to provide in depth understanding of the subject.

Laboratory Facilities:

The department has two laboratory halls equipped with maps, models, surveying instruments (chain & tape, plain table, prismatic compass, dumpy level etc.) toposheets, weather maps, satellite imageries, pocket and mirror stereoscope, OHP, projector, etc.
